It's like a condom for the internet. I cringe every time I load up a browser on the iPad and wonder what information sites are gathering.

HTTPSwitchboard for Chrome-like, and Policeman for Firefox. Those 2 extensions replace NoScript, RequestPolicy, AdBlock, you name it.
