Well it's technically not free - although you can still use it for free after the trial period, but they can disconnect you at any time - and I would lose connectivity sometimes. The main reason for switching to RustDesk is so I can build my own version and deploy it on the work laptop. I'm using PiKVM to VNC into the work laptop right now, but it's a poor alternative at the moment with the latency and resolution issues in TigerVNC.
