This is a long-winded description of my lost weekend. I guess I could just get rid of the old hardware mentioned in the post and move on, but something doesn't feel right about throwing away perfectly functional gear. I understand Microsoft's business model is partially built on not having to support legacy hardware forever, but I pay for my windows licenses so the slow grinding of my old hardware into the dirt does rankle somewhat.
