The great thing about populist slogans like “drain the swamp” is that they don’t specify what exactly will be done and how, so they are highly malleable.

Could the non-tech stocks be down because the productivity increases expected from AI are illusory? Or that when the bubble bursts the economy will be wrecked and all businesses will be affected?

Couldn’t it be rooster-adjacent?

That reply uses I/I’m around a dozen times, forcing the user into anthropomorphising the AI.

I suspect that in a large scale disaster/emergency the communications systems may be disrupted and it may not be possible to remotely control the vehicles.

Perhaps in such cases they can pull over in a safe place, or if they have an occupant ask them if they wish to continue the journey or stop.

Perhaps they already do this, I have no experience with autonomous vehicles.

Aren’t CATL already producing sodium-ion batteries for about 60% the cost of lithium-ion for equivalent capacity?

Yeah. Maybe this tech will have a place for week-long storage and be a good buffer for wind power but I hard to see the economics working for daily cycling.

Oh, no! Hollywood will get richer and the poor author will get nothing!
